Default Cold starting problem !!!!!

When i start my S2 turbs up from cold it she fires up fine and idles ok but just for a few minutes and then the revs just drop right down to 600 rpm. This is becoming very annoying and when i start to rev it up it then seems to spluter i think this is due to over fueling but after a few seconds it then clears and when i take my foot off the accelerator the revs just drop back down. But when it has warmed up it idles where it is supposed to at around 850-900 rpm. So i have been told it could possibly be that the injectors are leaking. The car has been tuned up and has been chipped but i cant think what this could be any ADVICE would be appreciated CHEERS oh the other thing is i tryed by adjusting the idle screw but once the engine has warm it revs to high.

cold start injector maybe? try disconnecting the electrical connection off it and when you go to start the car pump the accelerator a couple of times and then start as usual. it's at the back of the inlet manifold in the centre if my memory serves me right. worth a go since no-one else has replied

Cheers for the advice but ive already disconnected the cold starter and has not made much difference.I took my car down to Power Engineering a few months ago to have it set up on the rollers and the tester said everything is spot on. I told him about the problem ive been having with the idling when the car is cold and he sugested it could be the injectors,i told him that the injectors have never been changed so he recommended me to change them after all they are 16 years old. But i just thought i would ask just i case it might be something else. I had a thought it could be the the sensor that controls the cold start valve or the other one thats close to the oil filter,i think it tells the ECU weather the engine is hot or cold somthing like that so those sensors might be worth changing. Any more advice CHEERS

Heya Jay

Kinda wierd how I am known mostly to others as J, and drive a Series2 ERST ... and have a cold start problem.

I find that the car is ok once the temp guage goes past the black block, but before that the revs die down quite a bit ... so i just have to wait until its warmed up
