Red face Chassis legs

Anyone any pics or tips on replacing the rear legs?

Can't believe what shite you find after scrapping off the underseal!! wish i left the fucker alone

Take a drill and drill holes on all the places where they have been spot welded. take a good look of where all the holes and exhaust mounts so they are on the same place on the new onces.

I'm guessing i should brace the shell before removing the legs?

i've made a frame where i could mount the car on the brackets of the swingarms, but my car was totally stripped

get it done buy a mot welder
my mate had his done and kept going through one rear tyre and when he decided to get the tracking done he found out why the hard way

If they're not too bad then plate them up as theyre a pig to change.

i think when you don't do them totally rust will always come again in short time. They are really rusty inside! you can't see it. When i removed them you saw how much rust was in them on some places!

Could i just replace the rotton section with a cut off from a new leg?

You could deff replace a part but i think there's rust all over the place on the inside of them. So when you need to do is and allready have to buy new parts why don't you do the whole chassis rail? Else you do a part now and over 1,5 year you have to replace it again on a other place..
