40mm lowering kit, are they any good?

Are they suitable with 17" alloys?

I gather they are what was JAMEX suspension and it is pretty good stuff for the price. A mate has got some on his S2 and hes lowered it 60mm now with no ill effects i.e. hitting bump stops - even driving about the pot holed Dartmoor roads!!!

The rear brake valves are adjustable and will give no problems.

They reckon any lower than 35mm & it f*cks up the handling & braking on an S2 Dan.

60mm is a bit too low I think

Yeah 60mm is too low for handling wise but the G-MAX is fine with the actual drop and still hard - doesn't bottom out, the actual geometry of the car is all to cock thou. Mine was lower 60mm, by mistake - Proven Products gave me the wrong springs and it banged out all the time on their System 2 shocks - which were crap. The car used to tramline everywhere and eat tyres!

Got some nice new konis and 25mm springs now - ideal, ready for the new lump which i should get back this Sat!
