Default pic request !!

of large front mount intercoolers fitted into s1 rst..
as am wanting to fit one to my s1 but dont want to have to chop to much out the front panel..
do they fit infront of the radiator without any mods??
how have you fixed them to the car??
also what fans are you using with these intercoolers??
any pics and info much appreciated

im running a series 2 grs with single kenlowe fan it fits near enough straight in but i had to chop a little bit of the front panel for the fan.
one of my mates is running a series 1 grs with twin fans dont think he had to cut any out but im not sure the problem is on a series 1 the fans mount infront of the cooler where as on most series 2 turbos they go inbetween the rad and cooler.

ill try and get some pics of mine have to steal my bros digital camera first though

It's just held by the radiator. The panel in front of the fans has been narrowed a little and it has also been bent slightly. The biggest downside is that if using two fans, the front grille lower mountings need to be removed This is not an issue, if you plan to use only one fan.

i found one 10" kenlowe didnt cool mine enough
using a 13" version but you have to cut the front panel slightly
the grs fits the s1 very tightly, depends on how your front panel is
