ZVH problem - car will not start !!!
I am going mad with frustration with my RS - (yeah like everyone else I know)
Last night took my car for a run and whilst driving (off boost) I went to accelerate and a sound like a dump valve dumping happened even tho i was only driving at about 2500 rpm and still accelerating - i then suddenly lost power and it started to run terribly - i pulled over and in the end died on me. Car started on the button first time.
Got the car home and checked all hoses connections etc etc and all seems ok, tried to start the car on jump leads and craking is fine and sounds fine whilst turning over but will not start. Cambelt is fine and all boost pipes seem fine, turbo is fine as well (removed boost pipe and no play at all) No signs of loss of any fluids at all - battery is only a couple of months old and all igintion leads, sparks plugs all are fairly new. No loss of water - oil is clean so i dont think its head gasket .
The one thing i did notice is that the fuel computer started with my distance to empty showing at 35 miles - this was dropping rapidly and after 2 miles it was showing as 15 miles to empty - towed the car home and is now showing as 9 miles to empty - no evidence of a fuel leak at all - all pipes from fuel pump seem ok and no evidence of a fuel leak anywhere !!!
Anyone have any ideas what i need to check next ?

Problem solved - boost pipe from the bottom of the turbo had worked itself loose !!!
Obviously when i went to accelarate the force was enough to push it free.
Glad it was nothing more - thanks for the help.
