Default Steering Wheel Judder?

When I start braking from around 50mph, my steering wheel vibrates like fcuk and its doin my head in, any ideas what it could be? I dont think its warped disks cos i cant feel it thru the pedal, could it be worn bushes?

You won't feel warped discs through the pedal mate, stick a Dti gauge on the disc and i bet you it's warped.

Sorry to butt in on ya post k3v ha I am having the same problem and have been for quite some time I have changed the discs 3 times I have repalced all bushes, lower arms, track rods and steering rack and it still wobbles. I have even replaced the bushes in the steering column and at top of suspension mounts. I have got used to it now. I have posted a few times and all seem to say warped discs but surely not within 2 weeks. If anyone has any ideas what else I can change it would be much appreciated.

Until you've put a Dti gauge on your discs you won't know if they are warped! It only takes one heavy brake from decent speed and they warp.

It won't cost you anything to put a Dti gauge on them so i'd do that first!

I have exactly the same problem on mine but i have changed everything including dics, track control arms, rod ends, poly bushes and the problem still persists, there can only be two things left.

1. Worn steering rack.

2. Warped hubs.

I have just forked out for some new hubs and i'm going to try those on the car this week, i'll post up my results l8r

Have you had the steering alignment checked?
Also the driveshafts and CV joints could be suspected?

Its warped discs people its not your bushes, track rod ends, steering wheel column bushes nothing like that. All it takes is a few hard brakings at high speed and basically the discs are warped. Got a ST170 last year and few hard braking saw those discs warp too but had them replaced and they are fine now. Im runnin cosworth brakes on my erst and they give judder through the steering too especially when coming down to around 35mph but if you bed your discs and pads properly for around 500 miles without braking hard, you will notice they dont warp and then grind them hard as you want.
