Unhappy Need help fitting New fuel pump on S2

Hi mates!!!

I need some help about fitting a new fuel pump on my Escort RS turbo S2 `88

I had buy a new fuel pump on "Autospecialist", here is a pic:

But the problem is that I can´t bolt on the out of new fuel pump with a plug of the older fuel pump, I don´t know what it is, maybe a pressure valve or something?? Here´s a pic:

Maybe the older fuel pump not is the original one for Rst S2 so the new does not fit??
What will I need to fit the new one??

I´ll be waiting for answers..............

Thanks

If you cannot put screw from fuel pipe to new pump, put another pipe with right screw on it so then can put it. I dont see another way to do it.

denbo: on my rst doesnt have so big cap on screw.

I think, not really sure, that my older fuel pump is from other type car other Ford Escort, not a original Escort Rs turbo S2, so you don´t have so big cap on screw.

Looking on Ebay I saw this:

M12 banjo union (8mm pipe tail)
*
M12 dome nut
*
2x copper washers

Maybe with this I will fit my new fuel pump?????

Ok!! Dragsteer

Definitely I think that fuel pump is not the original for Rst S2, maybe for another Ford Escort but not a turbo Rs S2.

I would like to know it. And the best thing is that my car has worked with this rare pump installed.

I´m going to replace the fuel pump due some running problems that maybe caused by pump but not sure mate!!
Same like you.

Now I know the type of fuel pump i´ve got fitted, a friend of "rsownersclub.co.uk" Lukeduke told me that:

"My microcat says its a fuel pressure regulator for 1.6 cvh EFI (D/GB) FOR CATALYST WITH LAMBDA CONTROL. hope that helps"

So it is a incorrect fuel pump for my car, it is for EFI CVH and Rst S2 is MFI WITHOUT CATALYST.
