Default Series 2 custom charge pipe

Im going to get the grinder out at the weekend and fit my pro alloy 500 cooler also gonna put my rs 1600i rocker cover, as the charge pipes are on either side im going to have to make a custom one off the throttle body. Does it matter what shape it is ? as in if i have a 90degree bend from throttle will it effect flow ? or does it not make any difference ? ? ?

you may struggle doing it as the breather on the rs16i inlet is in the middle

I might be selling my old XR3i Inlet soon, once I know I don't need any of the bits.

Yeah thats the sort of thing, except mine will go to the left wont have to cut mine though, managed to get sum gripes around the top breather and un screw it just a case of drilling it in new position and securing somehow

I was going to do what your talking about but went this route due to the breather on the rocker cover. I was a lot easier, just made the pipe on the cover come out at a 45' angle towards the passenger side. I made the throttle pipe myself.

think you might still have to cut the whats left of the pipe and get rid of the fins on top of the rocker cover.

i wanted to keep the fins, but i couldnt get the pipe to clear.

Nice rst you got there mate

I'll be looking forward to some pics as i just ordered my FMIC and the pipe work also has to go the other way as it's a single pass....with a 600x300 cooling area so have to grind some metal away i think ...
At the moment i've got a reverse charge carrier from pace but looking for a home made inlet later this year...

Throttle body needs to be @ the timingbelt side , but that's how i think of it now....

First get it runng on EFI and then we'll see..

I'm not from UK so i'll think it over ass you'll have to send it overseas then....

What are you lokking for for the inlet?

Looking forward to those pics

Yes, agree. Looks good once painted up with the polished fin edge: can't tell you've butchered it once painted and installed. Top job

Cool

Not a problem mate

Well ive jus got up as ive been hanging all day after drinking shit loads of fosters yesterday on an all day session. Havnt got anything done on the intercooler, was up the lockup for a while yesterday morning and realised id cut to much of the front panel out which pissed me off, but ive kept them so will get them wlded back after the cooler is mounted. It also turns out that my mate that had the cooler on his motor had to cut away some of the strutial part of the front panel above the toweing eye, im not up for that so im going to mark up the cooler and get the bottom part cut off and wealed up so its slightly smaller. Turned into a bit of a nitmare realy but thats life will get some pics up of my butcherd front panel tommorrow
