Is it possible to test the tps-sensor for the correct function ?

my S2 is spluttering/popping a little when i take my foot off the throttle when driving.

 

disconnect fuel module and connect breakout box. connect multimeter to pins 2 and 13 and measure resitance. move sensor slowly till a reading 0 to 1 ohm is achieved, audible 'click' from swich. tighten security screws. move throttle plate, slowly as soon as plate begins to move reading should be open circuit and 'click' heard from switch
