Nuts Rus....you obviously know your stuff and have alot more experience than most of us, think it's a bit harsh for you to say peoples cars are gonna handle shite then not suggest a more suitable spring poundage??? You say u can't post figures yet seem sure they'll be rubbish....a few pointers in the right direction might help! For example, would you have any suggestions for a gaz gold setup for fast road/track use, not that i have a clue what rate inserts come in them!?

If you find out what info they are Dave post it up

Im not being a secretive sam like on the AB set-ups etc, but dont want to post a figure relating for example to a 2.25" spring when for all I know the kits may come with a 2.5" spring and soft inserts.

Gravel set-ups should be well documented as they have been used in serious competition for decades.

Sorry for sounding 'harsh'

When we move we move in 25% steps in spring poundage rates on the rear, some of the figures above could be in excess of over 400% movement thats a hell of a jump which was the basis of my sweeping comment sorry

Everybody needs a starting point though... Then we can all experiment after we get going. Springs are relatively inexpensive after all

Nuts Rus: I've got a set on order so i'll try and find out what rate inserts they come with...and i'm pretty sure they come with 2.5" springs. I'll say now that i've been recommended to go for a 100 pound split between front and rear....350's on the front and 450's on the back, i was then told by someone else the rears might be way too stiff so i've ordered some 225 pound springs as well as they're only 30 quid a set. Trouble is i've only ever had konis with unknown rate springs and i'll be honest i didn't have a clue when i started lookin into coilovers...was just lookin for different peoples opinons who obviously have a lot more knowledge than me
