Am going to change my head over to a stage 3 one very soon and wonder what head gasket to put on ?
Im running bout 14psi may increase one or two
Which gasket is best to use because i dont want to be doing head gaskets on it all the time

genuine ford/payne gasket
they are both the same as payne make em for ford but there cheaper from a motorfactors than fords
ive got one on my 200bhp s1
lots of high powered rst's use em and they seem outlast all other makes
christian on here uses one on his 350bhp s2

nothing wrong with Payen
heade gaskets only go due to overheating or bad tuning , not due to boost
have run an indicated 2 bar with my old setup through the dellorto 40's
make a point of using ford or uprated headbolts , once they are stretched toss them!!!

Rickand 14 psi is gay on a stage 3 head - 25psi is more like it..
The head is just sitting the now waiting to go on
25psi would be good but is that not too much boost for the bottom end and just cause problems
It would go like stink though

My brotehrs old FRST was running 22psi peak and 19psi held on a totally standard bottom end. Was good as gold for years. In bits now but not due to failure, doing a resto so thought we may as well strip the motor while it was out the bay.
