I need help.........

Can I replace without problems a Standard Actuator With a -31 actuator in my non Chipped Escort Rs turbo S2 and standard 0,6 bar boost pressure??

A friend told me that I have to adjust the arm to the longest point with the rod, near fully closing waste gate. So boost pressure will be as Standard 0,6 bar, not overboost.........
It is a correct procedure??

My opinion is that u put actuator on place, set rod length to almost end, i mean to longest point, and go drive and see on boost gauge how much boost u have. Then,if u have too low boost, shorten a little acturtor rod, and again go drive. When u looking how much boost u have you must drive in 4th gear full throttle. Not to 6500 rpm but about 3000 will be enough.

Always make sure you have a bit of preload so the wastegate is actually closed. Otherwise your car wil feel REALLY laggy........

My experience with a -31 with minimum preload is 0,8 Bar boost. That could be enough to make the ECU angry at you.
