Clutches are the weak areas of RST. Most are not capable of much and even then the prices are terrible. Nohing is more frustrating that showing ££ on an expensive item just to find out it wasn't good enough.
Anyone know of a reasonable priced 220mm sprung paddle plate?

Could be clutch or rachet or sticky cable.

But if its a Black diamond, it most prob is that, as they aren't that good.

Yes I have had the same problem on mine last week

The arm on the gearbox can get sticky -
make sure this works freely or your clutch does not engage onto the plate properly!

This with a flywheel skim solved my problem

Cable,

Take cable off clutch arm,
it should be smooth to pull by hand, with resistance from pedal wieght.

Rachet,

you should be able pull the clutch release arm by hand towards front of the car when pedal released?
but will be heavy.

if both of them are fine, then time for new clutch and skim.
