Default gearbox cradle

the rear bolts that hold the cradle to the floor have stripped

has this happened to any1 if so what do you do to fix it?

can you drill through and put a nut and bolt?

What a fucker.

I think we put bolts down from the top and welded the heads, leaving a pair of studs.

I then use M10 locknuts to hold the cross member on.

Happened to me and all i did is remove the carpet on the passenger side and there will be a vent in the bulk head, if you cut that away you can get to the stripped bolt there.

I welded in some new M10 bolts

We didnt even do that. From memory, we used a round punch to recess the area around the threaded hole, then we managed to wind the bolts through what was left of the thread (from the little access hole in the bulkhead/engine bay before dropping a weld into the recess.
