Default 200bhp...whats needed to get and to keep safe

im thinking of getting a fiesta rst engine in my car, but want to get a few more bhp from it (closer to 200bhp the better, thats the aim)

would i need to change anythink or do the injectors just go straight in..

same goes for the 195chip..

what little things can i do to get a safe, reliable 200bhp rst engine?

been told arp bolts, conrod bolts?

what else?

help

air filter, exhaust, chip, intercooler should do the job. 190-200bhp.

for relaibility could possibly get an uprated turbo and you will definately need an uprated clutch.

yes. the standard clutch will just slip due to the increase in torque.

just buy a decent one in the first place. its not something you want to be changing too often!

o for something that will take more power than your planning - leaves room for further tuning, if the car will be used hard consider a paddle clutch from the like of AP, the only RS clutchs i have personal experience of is the black diamond ones, my 1900 runs a stage 2 power clutch from them and its very opositive and has taken years of abuse

change your injectors

the std ford items maxed out at 0.4 bar with my T34

now fitted 500cc and have managed to map to 0.6 bar already

only 90km's to go to run the motor in before a full dyno at Gotech - cant wait!!!

ARP rod bolts are good

Copper clutch are the way to go if you want a clutch that will cope with later mods , a bit of a bastard everday but shit , not much worse than my Scooby!!

Speak to Jamie at Jamsport , i am totally sold on the Gotech units , replace the computer now and it will allow for further power upgrades with minimal hassles , the std unit goes to 1,7 bar

should be interesting at 1.5 bar!
