Mine is not brilliant, as per most, but it's all being sorted, and you can look on the link below in the restorations section of the site to check out how it's going!

shame u cant buy brand new shells from ford anymore imagine how much rust protection us monkey would put on before we did anything.

think how mint hey would be as well
I know where theres a mint 1990 S2 shell, only done 8000 miles back in the 90s then stripped (all parts bagged up in minto condition also) - chap won't sell it though

the only place mine is rusting is on the rear arches...ne idea how much roughly they would be to cut out and replace? But the rest of the car is sound!

even under the carpet everything looks spot on! might rub it down and put another layer of paint on it though just for extra protection

You never know what is lurking under the carpet, u lift up the carpet at the rear drivers side footwell thats where they always go, and dont remove the bodykit!

I'm considering the re-shell option too. Mine is starting to go in all the places people have mentioned so far
Tried a couple of places (Ford & Simpsons) to get a shell..but none out there anymore. Even considered getting non-RS shell...but it seems a shame to scrap a genuine RS shell..and the rebuilt car would not be worth as much should you come to sell it. If I went the full resto direction then I don't think I'd ever sell it...even tho its had £000's spent already
