can you buy extensions?

got braided hose and its about 2-3 inches too short

agree with you micky, didn't want to mount it inside the engine bay cause

a) its very hot

b) not much room left - no airflow!

That where mine is...

I will try and do some pictures for you...

The pipes go through the hole you point at run along the rail then up to the sandwich plate...

My cooler is on opposite diagonal to the way you show though...

like Micky said... measure up and get some made properly... mine cost me 40 quid if i remember right.

This would be a better way of mounting the cooler. You can make the hoses as long as you want.

use to have mine mine below the fmic

removed the heater intake box and made up a bracket , this is where it now sits.

it does not add to engine temps and oil runs well below 80'c , even at the strip.

i use a 7 row cooler from a Mazda rotary , about half a meter wide

mail me at stevenb@denorco.com , i have some pics on my work pc

without sounding rude.. can i ask why it would be better mounted the other way...?

my logic was that the air would come through the vent in the bumper and hit the largest surface rather than being hidden behind the bumper itself.

Good question

Because with it your way, the air would come through the bumper and would be forced over the oil cooler. With it the other way, the angle of the cooler acts as a barrier and because the air cannot go backwards it forces the air through it rather than over.

If you look at all half decent intercooler installs you will see that it isn't totally upright, the top will always be in front of the the bottom, if you look at it from the side. If that makes sense.
