Default turbo spins up late, about 4200rpm?

any ideas why

Mine did that when the clamp snapped on the turbo to intercooler hose, the hose wouldnt pull off but when the boost built up it all escaped

my stupid mistake

ive just done a headgasket on the car and recent new turbo pistons rings etc so i wasnt taking it to very high revs

sooo the car does come on boost but very late about 4250rpm my old turbo started spinning up at about 2500rpm whys this, there both the same type and running same 10psi

you got the hose on the actuator/compressor or the hoses on the amal valve correctly

yep 4250 roughly am not running amal valve, just checked all hoses fine

leak on the inlet manifold?

um, hmmm, not sure after that,
did you definatly have an rs turbo head reffited?

and is the cam timming correct>

cheak your actuator, had the same problem boost was kicking in very late.

Actuator adjustment. If the rod is too long it will hold wastegate open.

i thought that may be the problem just havent yet adjusted it. cheers guys
