Default Thank you BMW

Put one of our 7's in for warranty work yesterday afternoon and was horrified to be given (don't laugh) a 120d in it's place....
Got it home, put the obligatory tuning box on and BOY does it go.
Much to the horror of MR 225 TT on the A406/M11 this morning.
Didn't think there'd be any small cars which would make such a good case for getting rid of the RS.....

Mate there are LOADS of cars that make a good case for getting rid of our RST's

They are becoming more and more outdated all the time, they're not particularly fast by todays standards (Even in mildly tuned form), they dont handle like a modern FWD car, they're old and uncomfortable but we run them because we want to

Yeah me three Mark but,-
With 195 bhp, almost 300flbs thru the REAR Wheels, 45 mpg
and (cue howls of derision) fantastically well screwed together.
I think it's one of the best cars I've driven (offset pedals aside)
this year.
Whether or not I'd feel like that after being stuck in it for a
couple weeks I don't know but bearing in mind there seem to
be an awful lot bitching about RS's on here of late I thought
I'd just throw a suggestion in to help the debate along.

Theres no denying that BMW's are very good cars, and if i had to have only ONE car to do everything in, it certainly wouldnt be an RST, i would have sold it years ago.
(It might not be a BMW either for that matter).

I agree on the fact that its always the same people posting it and its always the ones who don't on a ford

i have been talking to alot of people and when i mention passionford they say its a joke because they get critasized and they refuse to join because of it

bmws in general are superb, my friend has a chipped 520d and it keeps up with my mates e30 325 sport and the 520 is one of the nicest cars ive been in.
I had an r1 follow me and gave me a thumbs up, although there are alot of dogs they still get respect. there are sooo many good cars about though nowadays, seat leons, gtis etc. and soo many wicked diesels, it really is the people that love them for what they are not necessarily how good they are(/were)

Definitely food for thought guy's.
Take a look at the stats above.
That kind of torque cause's a lot of cossies to break down every second
lamp post,
As for all BMs being the same, isn't that as blinkered as saying all Fords
are shit?
It's like everything in life/don't knock it till you've tried it, I seriously think
a lot of you would be shocked by the performance of modern diesels.
Also, bear in mind most car companys are dying on their arse's at the mo
and will be more than happy to give you most models for a 3/4 day test drive if they think they've got a reasonable prospect of a sale.

No i mean there all the same in like bhp people know what they can do ith a rs it could be a standard 132 bhp or a 300 bhp

I have been in most bmws in skylines scoobys etc

The only car ive really liked is a rx7 im not saying a rs is best for a everyday car its far from it but thats why i have a 406 td but it would be very boring for me stuck with only one car
