Default Brake Fault - Cutting Engine

Got a late S2 and whislt giving it some the other day i found that after braking hard then lifting off to get back on the power there was a BRRRRRRRR noise (sounded like a pump or somthing) followed by a loss of all power which would take a while to come back on?

I also found the same whilst stopping at junctions if i got the same noise the engine would die and then cut out.

The harder you brake or stop the longer/more power lossed.

Any ideas much'o appreciated.

If the servo's not US check pipe running from servo to plenum (hopefully its in one piece and not joined in the middle with hose and jubilee clips as these are notorious sources of leaks) also the rubber grommet where pipe enters servo tend to perish. You can bodge em up with a bit silicon or tiger seal but if it is this get another from a breakers for pennies.
Good Luck

Good Fooking question RS230. Twigged t'other day, had the car 2 weeks and used it bout three times.

Only happens when low on fuel i.e 1/4 of a tank! whats all that about i ask?

The SH it says the tank has been replaced, presumably pump/pickup's not been replaced in the correct postion

To be honest they arent adjustable as such the sender simply twists in and thats meant to be that

grey RS i had one that did that, think its the gauges in Mk4's more than anything else to be honest.
