Hi recently took my escort rs turbo with Efi management from a fiesta turbo out for a run and noticed a slight leak of exhaust near the manifold area but anyways when i have part throttle on, the car has no power and hesistates alot. Once its overcome that position it then starts to accelerate but it still dont feel right. Any ideas on what it might be?

also its all standard running fiesta flywheel and cps and im running a t3 turbo.

also i noticed the fuel pressure regulator vac nipple is bent.

also it tapping like fook near head area

The exhaust leak needs to be fixed before you can accurately find the fault, if any!

if not could be many thing, but start with vacum/boost leak, or fuel issue.

cheers lads for the replys i will get on the case. Anyways today i took the spark plugs out and they are in very healthy condition as stated on the back of the haynes manual where it shows lots of conditons of spark plugs and tells you what they mean.

i will get a new exhaust manifold gasket and see if it helps.

Its fixed turned out to be exhaust manifold gasket and the tapping has gone.

I cant believe that a knackered exhaust manifold gasket can cos a loud tapping noise. the sound is almost identical to tappet noises but anyways all is sorted. it now revs up freely, engine sounds really quiet and idle is perfect

Of course it can, the cylinders firing sequentally etc, and the small size of the leak makes it sound identical.

I bought a car years ago and within a couple of days people were saying it sounded fucked, exhaust manifold was loose

yer mine was loose when i got it got another one job done its common in efi motors
