Default Cam Sensors for an EFi RST?

Ok guys, I need a cam sensor and bracket for the RS. Who out there makes a good quality set up, and can do it ASAP? And of course, if anybody has pictures of these that would be superb.

Thank you

There are CVH's around that had sequential injection from the factory and as such have a cam phase sensor built into the head where the fuel pump blank plate is.

You could probably use one of these although you would have to have your cam machined and modified to accomodate the sensor.

Thats my 2p's worth if you don't like it then its tough

dont think ive ever seen such a spanking head

Where did you get that set up from? Presumably you have to machine the teeth on the standard pulley slightly yea?

its a virgin head, never been run, built to rally x spec i believe, its cast at 0.75 over instead of the usual .50. been worked to stage 4, stainless steel sodium filled oversize valves, cvh35 with a/p lifters and isky double strength valve springs blah blah blah!!! its a wrc cam sensor and bracket iirc...

Why are you going sequential injection? It is a lot of hassle for no performance gains. Are you just doing your bit for the environment?

You dont need to take the signal off the cam itself. A metal bolt on the the front pulley and an inductive pulse sensor will work perfectly.

He himself didnt mention anything about sequential injection that was me. I dont even know what management he runs at present?

I can not really think of another reason to have a cam phase sensor though

Not by much though.

Sequential injection has alot of benefits in terms of driveability, when the management is advanced enough to make full use of it.

Tony,
The man you want to speak to is Gadget as he did a real nice setup on my cam sensor. None of this wire poking out the top and curved.

It was a proper bracket with a nice detachable plug. I'll see if I can dig a pic out for you later on as it really is a nice bit of kit.

The Field motorsport cam sensor setup is pretty trick too.
Gus had one on his and may still do.

No, not yet

I will see what I can do about taking it somewhere and getting it made up. I don't have the time in the week which is a bit annoying.

didnt the one that gus has get pictured in pf on a car, not sure if it was his car or not but the bracket was clearly cracked where it meets the rocker cover. Potential weekness in the design??? looks like a difficult thing to get looking neat and factory.
