escort rs turbo sump??? HELP NEEDED
hi can you guys please help.
i have a 1988 escort rs turbo and the sump has rusted through and began to leak half way up?!!
is the sump on a rs the same as any other 1600cc cvh? or do i need a rs 1?

Normal sump will fit but you have to modify it.
There is a sheet metal inside the sump, preventing the oil from swashing around. You may need to cut it out to make room for the oil return pipe coming from above. I simply punched it through with a chisel. Don't drill or you'll have to clean the sump pedanticly afterwards.

i did drill tho and it went well
hold a old speaker under the drilling and it'll catch most of it then wash it out a few times
