Actuator - turning boost down
First of all my car was setup standard with 7psi boost, all was fine till one day it started hitting 11psi (never touched a thing)
amal valve etc all plugged in, std piping. .
ONLY things I can think of is, when fitting the turbo, I sat it on grass and the actuator dug into the dirt and filled the hole where the pipe goes on, Im sure I pushed it all in tho. . could this of blocked a pipe (so to make it run 7psi) then un-blocked it with the pressures and now its running more boost?
the thin hoses from amal valve-metering unit/turbo etc. . couple of them aint exactly tight fits with the original clips, done a couple (the ones I could get to easily) with small jubilee clips but still some that aint on tight.
or any other things that could make it run more boost? im pretty sure it's got a -31 but not 100%
Now, what im wondering is after I fix the hose clamps and it still does it, if I turn my actuator to lower the boost, would that be ok? as I cant for the life of me work out why its overboosting.
If so, what way do I turn it, and what will it lower it by one turn? if I can get it to 7psi that'd be great.
cheers.
