Default ERST PROBLEM

I thought i had a fuel pump problem. But now that i have changed it, it seems to be worse the car tries to start very slowly, but never does.

If the fuel relay was fockered, would the car start at all?

What other things can it be???

Common problem, starter motors cooked from the heat off the turbo!

after a while of getting hot/cold/hot/cold they dry out inside, nothing much you can do apart from fit the original heat shield or keep replacing them!

Also makesure the battery is charged and all leads are tight onto it and the starter. someone will post up what voltage you should see when turning the engine over just to makesure the starter is getting enough power.

Try getting a starter motor off a cmaller engines CVH, they still work fine but are smaller so it wont be as close to the down pipe.

Mines off a 1.4

AT LAST SOMEONE WITH SENSE!!!

The RST is a LOW COMPRESSION engine. You can turn it over with the stater from go kart...... My fiesta 1.1 starter has NEVER given me any trouble.

Dont know what model my starter is but its the shortest one they could give me as my down pipe sat less than 1" from the original starter

Its not just length, the smaller starters are also a lot smaller diameter. RS Turbo starters are un-necessarily FUCKING MASSIVE
