Default Running Problem with Series 2 ***SORTED***

My brothers been having trouble with his series 2:

about a week ago it started running a bit lumpy as if it was only running on three and then it stopped altogether. the engine would turn over and there is definitely a spark but doesn't seem to be getting fuel theres good pressure before and after the fuel filter and also going into the metering head but no pressure at the injectors except for the cold start valve
any ideas

Cheers in advance

Pete

you wont get pressure at the injectors unless you push the flap in the metering head down as you crank the engine over.

could be a metering head problem, remove the airfilter & tap the air flap while your brother is turning it over.

If you cant get any fuel out of the injectors with the fuel pump running and the flap depressed the chances are that the pump is weak and isn't creating ENOUGH pressure.
