Default fuel pump on an S1

Mine has decided to pack up

Do I have to get an S1 one or will an XR3i fit or a cossie one fit?

Cheers

think your'll find the Xr3i (mfi), S1 and S2 and even a cossie (saph/3dr) will fit and work.

The ERST is the same pump as the Cossie one. I beleive it's also the same one found in the XR3i and the 1.6i Ghia Orions. Might be worth asking for one of those as they might not add on Ł50 quid for RS or Cosworth

E reg onwards the pump is the same for a RST / XR / Cossie.

It should also fit your S1 m8, as Oranoco said go for the XR one

I had to modify the cradle to accept the longer pump on mine but it's not a hard job to do...

Iam thinking of changing my S1 to EFI would the standard S1 fuel pump be up to the job or would a Sierra XR 4x4 one be better, I say XR 4x4 because i have one to hand. Or would i need a Fiesta or Escort EFI pump and Tank??

Cheers Ross.

The standard pump will be fine, as the pressure required with the efi is much lower compared to the KE-jetronic witch operates at double the pressure.
