boost problem

Default boost problem

i have got a bleed valve fitted to my car but it is fully screwed out and it only boosts to 10 psi has any1 else had this problem

Is it chipped? Otherwise ECU will cut fuel/ignition at about 10 PSI.

If chipped:
I had to fit the bleed valve "in line" after the amal valve to get proper boost. Seems like the bleed valve isn't able to "bleed enough air" on its own. Put it in the hose that goes from the amal valve to the wastegate actuator.

And don't forget that raising boost can kill your engine rather quickly!

i am not sure if it is chipped but i havent got a amal valve on it

no i aint but the kid who i got the car off said it will run easy on 12 psi how can i tell if is chipped

if its chipped you should see more then 12 psi with a bleed vavle turn all the way mate, if i was you i get it seen to before you do damage to it. i like the way you said kid as it was a school boy selling you a RS

If its the ECU causing the boost to limit YOU WILL KNOW ABOUT IT in the form of very loud backfires!

If you have the bleed valve fully un-screwed (you brave man ) and thats all its reaching, you either have a weak actuator and/or damaged wastegate.

My turbo had a cracked wastegate and i actually had the screw from the bleed valve in the car with me, it would peak at 10 and tail off and hold 6

mate wound all the way out fuck me u are brave! when i got my s2 my acturator was fuked so as safechav has said have that looked at or just buy a dash 31 but get the boost down first a get a set up too as the boost you run might not match the fuel it runs, which could mean BANG!

you cant if you dont know what you're doing (thats not meant in a derogatory way!)

how is it not boosting past 10psi? it just doesnt, or it hit a brick wall (limiter)?
