Default another week another problem!(Dizzy)Still unsolved, HELP!!!

Hi guys, right this weeks problem is the following.

Dizzy is leaking oil out, which is effecting spark by getting oil all over the rotor arm and dizzy cap, and also the oil is dripping onto the amal valve plug, causing it to get a poor connection. Now ive taken the Dizzy out and the back part has alot of play in it. Is this normal? The oil is getting through the dizzy itself and not through the o_ring on the outer body. Any help would be much appreciated though i can see this being more expense in the shape of a new dizzy
thanks in advance guys
Danny

i had this on my series one but it was running out by the cambelt area
take the dizzy out completely and look inside the end of the cam their should be a small bearing in it to stop the oil comming out
mine didnt have a bearing so i put a few blobs of instant gasket around the bolt and it never leaked again try the same before you put the dizzy on make sure you dont gung it up tho

It looks like it's leaking from the cam - fault with cam really. You could the oil away so it's nice and dry, then apply some RTV silicone, which will probably cure it.

why spend your money when you dont have to mate clean the cam and bearing up push the bearing in slightly and put a few blobs of rtv then release the bearing hey presto you will then have a perfect seal around the bearing

Danny, i expect you will find there is a seal gone internally in the dizzy, your never guna stop oil getting on the end of the dizzy!#

If that was the case, there would be no need for the o-ring!!

Strip your dizzy down and have a look

The ball bearing should be pressed in!

I bet you a jam tart its the seal within the dizzy! - something that will commonly get overlooked!
