its pretty quick

that 188bhp was with ACTs of 50oC in the workshop. on the road i don't see higher than 30oCish

been a long time since my car was standard so hard to compare but it feels a lot stronger than when it was runnign 175bhp @ 15psi on standard cooler.

when it comes on boost it pulls really hard all the way to the limiter, you do find yourself trying to hang on lol

bigger turbo....

i was told that you wont see more than 195bhp on a standard turbo.

also 18psi on a standard turbo isn't going to last forever and all i ever wanted from my car was a reliable ~200bhp

any more than that isn't gonna be much fun to drive IMO especially since i wanna keep my standard 15" wheels

185BHP compared to standard is awesome!! Its an extra 50BHP in a 1 tonne car

It will feel like a different car.....although you may find your brakes will struggle a touch!!

Disagree with both those statements.

My old RST made 220bhp all day long on its std T3 turbo.

Used to peak 20ish psi and then hold 18psi, and did that for 3 years on its std 90k miles turbo and AFAIK its still making the same power today with 107k miles on clock and still on orginal std T3 turbo

im only saying what my tuner told me,

your car may be running that much boost quite happily but i bet it wont last as long as a turbo that was desinged to run that sort of boost from the beginning - thats my point....

what more could you want from a turbo that has done 107k miles is 17 yrs old and 18k of those miles have been at 18psi ? even uprated turbos have had problems doing that, but why pay out for a expensive turbo when a std turbo does the job as well as an uprated turbo.

Now if you are looking to increase the boost past 18psi then yes upgrade needed but if it isnt broke and doing the job well then imo dont replace it.

I miss my RST
