Default is my new auto gauge(boost gauge) reading correctly????

plumbed my new boost gauge in today and its all bin plumbed in correctly, but when i took it out for a spin earlier it only seemed to boost up to about 6 PSI on the gauge BUT it feels as quick as fook and i was expecting to see about 10 or 12 as the previuos owner had a bleed valve on it ( coming off as soon as poss) so ithought ill get a boost gauge to see what its actually producing BUT it seems really odd that its flying along and only reading 6PSI .having had 2 s2"s before i know wot a standard car feels like and it certainly dont feel standard, but AFAIK it is???
(or is it where i havent driven a standard one for a few years ive actually forgotten how quick they were for a standard car back in the day )
could the gauge be misreading???

any ideas welcome peeps

rick

my Autogauge boost gauge under reads too.

I never see above 15 psi on the gauge but my car hits 18psi on the rollers with a proper boost gauge.

it never used to do it, only ever since i moved it from the heater vent tot he A pillar.

what does your gauge read when its off? should read 0 mine is on -4 lol

Sounds like the vacuum hose leading to the gauge is leaking.
