help, just replaced my engine put everything back as i found it but no spark.can any body help as im going out of my mind

Dizzy would be my first port of call.

Does the fuel pump run when you crank it over?

no fuel pump wont run,but briged it out and it works fine.changed dizzy and coil still no joy

we couldnt get a spark on our zvh the other day so we put dizzy on of another car then a new coil and leads then swaped ecu to no avail. turned out to be that ballast resistor thingy, took it out and toutched wires together n it fired straight up.we got a new one and its fine now. check this first as simple things are easily overlooked and waste time n cash.

f411hur: if your pump doesnt run either the hall sensor in your dizzy is fucked (assuming it primes)

i had this problem this morning, engine was turning over but not sparking.

turned out i hadnt re-connected one of the battery terminals properley

little supressor thing on pasenger iner wing? fucknows what its called, a freind said at was ballast resistor? whateva its called when i touched wires together it ran. what is this?

n what is a ballast resistor as i'm not up on electrics just tryin to help.

Only thing that springs to mind is the ignition suppressor? (some people may call it a ballast resistor??!) It shouldn't stop the car running as it should only be inline with the feed for the rev counter, and as you say it will run without it
