Default HELP NEEDED ..... Missing on 2 & 3 cylinders ????

Can't get the car to start ..........

Fuel pump priming , engine turning over , plenty of spark , leads are correctly fitted , fuel getting to regulator & filter , new plugs - rotor arm - dizzy cap fitted ? Oil light going out as should.

Engine has been stood for a while - finally got all wiring in - hoses etc ....

Anyone got any ideas what to check next ????

Wanted to go to Ford Fair but looks near impossible now .....

try getting some one to depress the meterng flap a little bit then turn over,

and try diconecting the cold start vlave (blue plug on the back off the inlet manifold,

try taking off the dizzy cap and wiping the inside,
then check the plug on the dizzy,

take the bottom turbo pipe off (turbo to intercooler, ) and see if theres water in there, mine used to fill up from water cumming in through bonnt,

failing that, get the plugs out and clean them, and check the gap, try 0.7 and than gap up depending on the boost your running,

better yet, change the plugs, you need - 091cs, from ford, the 12 quid for 4 and they stock them

let me know how you get on m8

press the metering flap down whilst cranking the engine (at the same time) if no go, crack open an injector to see if fuel is getting to the injectors atleast!

does it sound like its really tappy could be the tappets have lost all its oil
try again with number one piston up and douable check that the timing is spot on
check the timming belt to
could be the injecters are blocked have you tried changing them or swapping them about to c if the miss changes to another bore
had it before thet the ht leads were 180 out and i was adamant that they were right until i rechecked them oops

when piston no1 is up is the ht lead (no1)on that one piston also check with all the plugs out in the corrct line up that they are sparking and you havent got a dud plug make sure they are away from petrol tho also is the car back firing or just missing
what have you done to the engine ie cam change or headgasket sorry for all the questions just bugging me as i want to sort it out lol

ooops also take the dizzy cap off and make sure that the ht leads are in the right firing order as i have seen that before when they were timed as if the rotor arm was turning clock wise rather than anti clockwise gonna stop talking about firing order now lol starting to get a bit obsessed with it now
