car wont turn over stater getting very hot
89 s2 turbo wont turn over fast anoth tryed a new battery starter is getting very hot and seems to be draining battery any ideas

the bush on the gearbox end is either worn out , or has been knocked out
if you remove the bottom plate on your box , feel behind the flywheel for this bush , it should be buggerd!
with the bush out ,the rotor shorts on the stator , causes a short and works erratically .do this enough and youll be replacing the battery soon enough!

sounds fooked mate, ive had 4 rs turbos and messed with second hand starters
ive just put a brand new motorcraft starter on my s1 tonite
£120
well worth it tho, summer only car so prob last forever!!!
