strange problems with boost on my s2!!
hey all. i have a s2 on a g reg - fitted a new engine to it and has finished the run in miles. the car is very weird - it boosts pretty well in 1st n 2nd but 3rd onwards it struggles to really pick up like it used to before the engine change, if i floor it. if i gradgually accelerate in the 3rd onwards gears it picks up kinda ok but still not as good as what it used to.
also when driving along at say, 60mph or something, plant your foot and it boosts like it used to on the guage but has virtually no extra acceleration!
boost guage shows it boosting to about 0.8 bar which is what it used to be when i first bought the car and i cranked it up on the actuator a bit to run 1bar and still had more to go if i wanted. this time after the engine change ,as the boost is poor ive cranked the actuator all the way and still just reaches 0.8!
can ANYBODY help me please as it is driving me mad...
if any1 is from SW London near Feltham and would be kind enough to help me out then i would be very greatful for your help!
cheers people - hope to hear from you soon!!!

Get it tuned Powerengineering is near you.
'your Mota needz a tune init.'
get it on the rolling road, and looked at as it needs setting up due to the new engine. Also New engine is prob a little tight, but get it tuned and they will tell you the score-HARDCORE !
Its £125 + VAT im taking mine down there soon as is running like shite and my mates taking his MR2 Turbo. Cos he wants to me made to look a fools next to da powa off eszcorttzzz.

Might be a silly question but is your ECU chipped? if its standard you won't go over 10psi without it cutting in
Otherwise you may have an airleak, check all boost pipes, vacuum pipes and inlet gaskets. Other than that yeah deffo get it looked at, you don't want to blow up a nice new engine

middle pipe to turbo
bottom pipe to airbox
