Do you have a habit of running it in the red?

I'm fairly sure the swirl pot has a gauze in it. What i meant was do u run the car in the red section, i.e when its about to run out of fuel

a'v never had the car running long enough m8, 1st run a got 10mile and it packed in, so a got a brand new pump and it lasted bout 20 mins then packed n same with the 3rd pump, and am putting twenty litres n every time a change the pump. so it not really getting to low on fuel. hav had the new tank out twice and rinsed it out, a dont think my swirl pot has a gauze in it, tak it, it should hav?

ye tried turning them, tried a power probe on them, 2 try and give them a surge 2 free them off, no joy. stripped 2 of them down 2 see if a clould see wot was jamming them, but they seemed to free off wen a got half way through the gubbing it's not the motor thats seizing its the bit the motor turns.

sounds a sod, i have a second hand 1 for Ł25 posted if you need 1 (got about 10 actually ) have a couple of tanks too but not keen on posting

run 2 new fuel lines down the car and start over with all good parts again ive not heard of a pump siezing tho, usually its the internals that wear out and wont flow the fuel at any pressure
