im changing my erst estate 2 efi soon and hav got everything out of an xr3i and will b putting the whole loom in and was wondering where the map sensor go or can it not b done with the loom.ive got an ofac frst ecu with a superchips 195 ecu if that makes any difference

Im not quite sure what ur asking...

The Map Sensor can go anywhere, as long as it is mounted facing downwards to avoid collecting any fluid.

sorry just had a look and i was a bit vague,what i was meant 2 say was will the xr3i loom hav a space for the map sensor or should it already hav 1 and if so what do they look like so i know what 2 look 4 in the box of bits ive got from the car

The XR3i loom will have a plug for the MAP, and if you are running OFAC the plug is the same. However OFAC MAPs are different to XR3i MAPS.

ok silly question really i suppose would i b able 2 get a 3 bar map sensor and what advantages would this hav and roughly how much would 1 cost

I dont think you can get higher pressure MAPS, this being the reason most people run OFAB, cos they use the Marelli MAP, so you can bung a coosie 3 bar jobber on

Yea, a standard OFAC MAP. Looks identical to the XR3i one.

yeh i got a mate that works in a motorist centre 2 get me a price from 1 of there suppliers and that was 60quid

Fuck that, seriously if i were you i would go OFAB, u can get a Marelli 3 bar sensor for £55 new!!!!!!!
