Oil Pressure Light
Just bought a G plate Seriries two and after changing Oil and filter when the car idles the oil pressure light flickeres on and off and if left at idle for 30 seconds or so it comes on permanently and the engine sounds a bit tappetty as soon as you blip the accelerator it goes out but comes back on as soon as it returns to idle.
it had a split breather filter but this was replaced when the oil was changed there are no other obvious leaks and i used 10w 40 magnatec oil.
Any ideas
Cheers

if you catch it soon enough teh starvation wont affect the head too much, big ends gonna need a build tho, ive had a few do this and the cranks dont take much before being scored up and needing a grind

hmm try changing the oil pressure sensor first ! and as said above try testing the oil pressure! see what u get!
also if the engine is struggling on tick over this will cause the light to come on!

Had a similar problem on mine! There is a small one-way flap at the oilcooler. On mine it was jammed closed. Just take a screwdriver and open/close it manually a few times. Should work then.
BTW: Realized that after changing oil pump and checking the main/big end bearings...
