Hi

I have a 90 spec rst which is running 1.8 zetec bottom end with cvh top end, its chipped got dump valve, big cooler etc.
The car had developed a problem starting when cold, it starts first turn of the key but only runs for about 7-10 seconds then stops.
It will re-start straight away & will do the same thing 4 or 5 times.
The only way to keep the car running is to keep the rev's up to about 3000rpm, you can only keep the car running after about 4 or 5 attemps at starting it.
Once car is warm it runs fine, i've changed cold start valve & fuel pump but it made no difference.
The car does smell rich when im trying to start it, its not been set up for about 3 years, im wondering if a rolling road tune up will sort this problem aswell.
