how much and was it worth it?
about 2 years ago i brought my s2 rst...and since then its been non stop work improving the car both the way it looks handles and goes! and now im wanting EFI and a 2.1 which is obviously going to cost alot so i just wanted to ask people what they've done to their RS's and see if it was ultimately worth it

I have done pretty much everything to my car and spent a small fortune on it over the years.
Was it worth it???
Well, it is ALOT better than when I bought it and I am happy with what I created, even though it needs constant looking after and is still being developed. However, when I see how much I have spent I could have alot of other things instead.
Swings and roundabouts really. I wouldn't do it again though.....

if you do it right and spend the money you won't regret it, a well built and well maintained RST is more fun than most cars out there

That is why I did mine, because in my eyes, I wasn't finished with it. I found though that it is VERY easy to get carried away when you start....

I wasn't having a dig, it is just that we were saying the other day how funny it is that people now think that to build a 300bhp CVH (especially) is an easy thing to do because there is a tiny handful of them around now.
I do not think people realise what is needed to build and maintain something like that.

Either way you need a lot of cash and commitment. I'm building a zvh and the costs are just running away with themselves, but as said do it once and do it right.
edited- full credit to anyone who's achieved 300hp in a s2

Mine's running about 185bhp and she's fine. Hardly use her mind, but never had any problems when I do (touch wood !!)

As said, with big build's you'll never get back what you put into them, time, and money. It's down to you how far you want to go and of course what you have in mind for the car, i.e shows, track, road car etc.
