Again I am no expert but I have been told that AVO is much better than Gaz and about the same price!
When I can afford it - some time later on next year I plan to get AVO's - for now I am going to keep the standard shocks and get -20mm eibach springs - again I have been told this will do nicely with limited funds!

had koni went to avo coilovers to hard and bumpy took um off sold um(then was told about poundage of springs etc... )took off the konis(again)fitted gaz coilovers (from cossymad)and like them bit harder than koni suspension but nowhere near as bad as the avos(i had)make of this what you will koni shocks are a nice ride though imo

Grounds out.... - have you got any idea what the springs are?
Alot of people are very happy with decent springs and koni's!
Coilovers will be a fair bit more harsh, dependant on the spring ratings you go for. but to be honest if its main use is on the road then you will probably benefit more from a set of new "decent" springs as Max says above!
but if you did decide to go the coilover route then Gaz is a fair compromise for money and quality.

also when i 1st got my car i was told lowering spings were fitted when i started to take things apart it was standard spings cut down?!?!i have seen the exhaust clamp at the rear hit the ground on a mates car when he nailed it he changed from standard shocks to koni think that cured it from him

dunno what springs they are but my car is real low too low i feel they may have even been cut??? its just too bouncy when driven hard like the springs aren't doin the job yet the dampers are stiff

If this is the case go for eibach -20mm springs - I have been told they are about the best springs to get and only Ł150 where a coilover kit would be about Ł500. Try this first and see what its like, you might find that you dont need a better set up. - it is what I plan to do before spending all that money on coilovers!
- Strut braces would make a huge improvement too!!

Nice looking car - but that is much, much too low!!!!!
Get on the phone and order a set of -20mm eibach's now!!! - If it had been lowered with proper lowering springs they would have to be about -60mm to look that low, but the car would be rock hard! so by you saying it is bouncy does suggest someone has been attacking the standard springs with a grinder - not good!
If you did get some proper lowering springs the would be hard and would improve the ride!

Red means they are after market - but there are all sorts of dodgy after market spring manufacturers- and they all seem to be red! - even worse though if they are a dodgy spring that has been cut down further!

yes defo well the suspension isn't terrible tbh just cant have more than me and a passenger just i'm the sort of person not just to buy springs if i'm gonna spend any cash its gonna be on something good and that will last for a long time ie coilovers or expensive suspension

The standerd dampers are good! what milage does your car have?
The right springs with the standerd dampers would be a good budget setup! You would be suprised!
But if you do want to spend serious cash then go for AVO's!!!
