Default Vibration

I've never owned a cossie before and I don't know if its a characteristic
of the car or not..
There seems to be a lot of vibration through the steering wheel and gearstick, I know I can't expect it to be like my BMW but how much does everyone elses vibrate? Are there any cures or anything to look out for etc?
Cheers people!

Pretty much all speed getting worst the faster I go, not too worried about the gearstick more about the Steering wheel.

Distorted tyre? Bushes? CV Joints? Prop? Front Prop UJ?

Any of the above really

If tyres are non directional, swop them around, across corners and front to back, inspect them when doing this to check for bulges etc

Whil its up in the air get yer hand on the front prop where it goes into diff, turn it round as if it was rotating, to check for play in the actual UJ

gear stick does it all the time its a common escort thing and as for the other sounds like the first port of call would be the wheel balancing then as damo said check the rest if its not that, my frnt wheels arent balanced as the brakes are to big and ripp the weights off

i had something like this and it took me ages to sort out... in the end it was the gear cradle bushes... changed this and all was sorted... worth a look at least..

i had a wobble at about 40mph, got the balacing ant tracking done and it cleared up for a few weeks but it came back. i then changed all the standard wheels for a new set about a year ago and aint had a problem since.

maybe i had a slightly bent wheel that was causing the probs?

Never really noticed the gearstick wobble though!
