What programs are avalible to remap and do custom maps to weber marelli,both p8 and l8.Rp lab is not what i want because u can only use the box that they have modified.I want something for my laptop to conncet to the ecu L8/P8 and tune it live.

 

Any standard eprom emulator will work.
The trick is knowing what is where in the eprom and what it means.

I have seen that but not read so much about it.Do u get fuelmaps,ign maps etc? what do all the tuners use? they got to have some sort of emulator.

 

Some write their own programs. A guy in Norway does it all himself afaik.

I read that one to but im after a probram/emulator for weber marelli.

 

TunerPro will do the job if you can be arsed to spend the time writing teh definition file (table locations are available, like in that bigturbo.co.uk site)... But there are no decent emulators out there that support realtime tracing at present (the moates one is crap).

 

i think you can live map with the pro version of the IAW monitor witha moddd L8 - not a P8 though.

 

Also P8 (since 2-3 month ago), but as Lars says.. it will only work on THAT specific RP labs modded L8/P8 ECU.

 

true - but how many ecus do you want to map - if just the one on your own car then its a very cost effectove route if you already have a L8 - as you need no new sensors, loom or hardware other than ther interface unit

 

Thats the problem,Rp lab allows u to map only one car.Im going to do more,so now im thinking of going whit a pectel in a p8 box but i need the codes for p8.

 

I did understand your need to map others than your own ecu

 

hi! i know the post is old, but can anyone knows the way to live map the marelis for cosworths? with emulator wich software ecc...

 

IEMSP8 is the software you need with hardware.

Then you need the keys for the base chips you want.

Then you need some way of writing the eprom like and S4.

Then some experiance.

Not as easy as it all sounds

I have all the keys hardware and software, not just for Pectel but for some collins boards and also STD baby boards for the L8.
