Default Front propshaft question

Hello,

I've just bought a 1993 Mallard Green Escos. Before i can drive it it needs some work done.

The journal assembly on the front propeller shaft (front diff side) is completely loose, the Escos cant be driven like this.

Can someone tell me what the partnumer off this journal assembly is or can you only buy the complete shaft?

The shaft is nr. D in the picture below and the journal is the selected one.

Thanks in advance!

any propshaft place can recon that joint for you it costs around 100 euro's to do,or just buy a good second hand one of a breaker on here, very common fault due to the joint drying out because of heat from the exhaust.

At Ford they only have the complete shaft, so.
Take the old joint off, bring it to any propshaft place for measuring.
I did and they just asked what quality I wanted!
Costed apr. 30£!

Thank you all for the reactions!

On: http://www.wrc-cosworth.org/tech/dri...rivetrain.html i read that there are uprated crosses with lube-ports. Can someone tell me where i can buy these crosses?

Thanks!

better speaking to the place where they make them up,sure they can fit a greasing nipple on the joint.

normally theres a grub screw in the joint, this can be removed & grease nipple fitted to pump the joint with grease, remove nipple, refit grub screw.

Just found these joints: http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA:IT&ih=016. Has anyone here used them? I think these will solve my problem.
