Hi Karl

Richter motorsport in Kassel has closed. One guy has started another business, his name is Fritz Schmidt, he used to run the business for Richter. see www.fritz-motorsport.de

The 'Richter' Escort in the photo is a friend of mine from Dresden, (same name, different fellow) he takes part in regional rallies, sometimes in the historic rally deutschland in an original Lancia delta Integrale.

I believed the Escort Cosworth in the photo was once an ex Delecour car, my mistake. It's possible the car was once driven by Biasion, but was owned for a season or two by German champion 'P Depping'.

hope that helps

True... in germany there where 4 cossie tuners in the 90's:

- Richter Motorsport (they used to work together with Hurricane Engineering in Holland) http://www.hurricaneracing.nl/

- Wolf http://www.wolf-concept.de/

- Engels Renntechnik http://www.engels-renntechnik.de/

- Suhe motorsport http://www.suhe-motorsport.de/

Those 4 where the big names in the 90's...

A lot of people want to have a Wolf-replica, but the most don't know that suhe also got a special edition (just like wolf). They also have other speedo (300km/h)/RPM/Turboboost meters etc.

must of forgot about where your car came from, its a shame though
30 years in the job then you jack it in and the rest is history.
Ah well....
CheeRs mR FoRd for the info on the other tuners.
we had a rs2000 that was a mechanic's of Martin Schance and
the engine came from Hurricane Racing Engines.
it was a flyer, i already knew about Mr Rallycross,so was chuffed
to get a engine from a company over in England who did dealings
with them.
and i never knew about the Suhe edition, although my car has been
there and i have got invoices from Suhe Turbo Technics
just noticed the Suhe ones go to 320kmh, my WOLF ones
only show 300KMH

Thanks Kenny, will have a look on the websites and the name
Depping does ring a few bells dunno if it was Dieter or Peter??

Not sure if its widely known, but Suhe and Wolf were FORD MAIN DEALERS
aswell as tuning companys,so although there might have been
companys doing bigger horse power conversions, these two
had reliability to consider hence why you didn't see 500hp Wolf/Suhe
cars

No thnx.

Suhe meters are quite rear, hard to find! Wolf ones can you find often on Ebay....Suhe not...

I think you mean Dieter Depping (rally driver)

Some rally engines from Martin Schance where prepared by Hurricane (not all , but a few), If that's true I don't know for sure, but that's what told Hurricane me
