Default dump valve problem

fitted a dump valve to my bros large turbo escos today but its no good , fitted it in to top intercooler hose left hand side of the engine bay by the front panel have run a vacum hose to the inlet , as soon as you start the engine the diaphram opens up letting boost out via the dump valve , its opening when it should be shut and shutting off when it should be opening up brought it off here its a dv26 the right one for the YB im a bit stuck

Its only a bit of fun at the end of the day
