Default Actuator and boost control valve

Right,

My Boost control valve is ticking very fast and loudly on idle and slowly with just the Ign turned on

Im guessing that it is goosed and a new one might be on the cards?

Also,

My car is only boosting to 14psi droping to 10. its got a brand new -31 fitted with 1/2 hole pre-load so i thought it should hold more than that.

I am thinking that the low boost might be releated to the boost control valve?

And 1 more,

I have an actuator (brand new) in the shed and its got 20psi stamped on it. What dose that equate to in terms of -31 -34 ect? do you think i should use this instead?

Thanks in advance,

I have since found out that the P8 Management will continually pulse the Boost control valve if there is a problem somewhere with a sensor or the likes. This will stop the engine getting full boost and damaging something.
