There have been numerous discussions regarding this topic. I’ve got AVO coilovers on my Escort Cossie at the moment, and they are very noisy. It all depends on what you want from the handling of your car. I’m in the process of changing mine to Koni and Ahmed Bayjoo lowered springs, as I use my car everyday, and the AVO’s are becoming to uncomfortable.

Your bonnet should close without any problems. Mine did.

I didn't fit these coilovers to my car, so not sure what was done. But here is a picture of what it looks like on the car.

Got Avo's on mine
so whats the general verdict on em then rolls??

is the ride too harsh for general road use? or does the superior handling outweigh the ride quality problems?

Well' i've only had the car for 5 days, so can't give you the big picture so-to speak.....
But, i would say that the ride is firm, without being too unforgiving...
Really would depend on how bumpy the roads are near you IMO- round here they are not too bad, but if the roads are crap, then i would be inclinded to go for something a little more forgiving...

Rolls,
If you bought Paul Eggleton's car (which is what it looks like to me ), you don't have normal off-the-shelf spec AVO springs .
