when iturn the key to start the fans already on how do isort this out and do i have to drain all my coolent one other thing
ihad a bailey header tank and theres on level so how do you know how much to put in thanks all

I would say thats a fan switch fault personally....


The fan switch is in the bottom (N/S) of the rad...

hi mate
when i bought my car the fans on it were on all the time, i fitted a new fan switch ,now however they never come on regardless how hot the enine gets, av checked the relay , wiring etc , if i bridge terminals on multi plug the fans come on , nobody can tell me whats wrong with it , so i just gave up. let us know how you get on mate

Ive had that problem. It was while the engine was out being rebuilt and being lazy i didnt finish it for a month or 2. The radiator clogged up and the coolant wasnt passing the fan switch. Bought a new rad and job done..
U can get the rad checked for flow rates to find out, mine was goosed.
