Ive had that problem. It was while the engine was out being rebuilt and being lazy i didnt finish it for a month or 2. The radiator clogged up and the coolant wasnt passing the fan switch. Bought a new rad and job done..
U can get the rad checked for flow rates to find out, mine was goosed.
